Hi everyone. Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. Today, we would like to talk a little bit about the first fitting with pictures from one of our students first fitting for his trousers. He drew his pattern and prepared well for his first fitting by himself.
First of all, the first fitting means that the first time you will see your garments taking shape after being measured.
A perfectly tailored suit is not an immediate thing.
Achieving a perfect bespoke fit requires several fittings during creating the garment, and that is why it is luxury.
When you measure, you have to keep the measuring tape comfortably snug, but NOT tight. It is very important to understand the different types of body shapes rather than just measuring.
Since this student is a bodybuilder, his body shape is very masculine, which is classified as “erect” body type. Even though his waist size is small, his thighs are well-built and thick. When drawing patterns, and first fitting, he needs to consider those aspects very well to get the perfect fit.
At AASE, we will provide students with those skills and knowledge.
