Course

The courses are structured as flexible modular training programs in professional handcraft tailoring.

  • Italian Bespoke Tailoring Trousers and Waistcoat Making

Foundation Module: 8times (1class=3hrs) + Course: 22 weeks (twice a week)

This module is being delivered two days a week over 22 weeks. Before the course starts, there is a foundation module for 8times (1time=3hrs), which is included in the course fee. In the foundation module, students will learn basting, basic hand sewing, how to use sewing machines, how to make front and back pockets, buttonholes, and so on.  The foundation module is mandatory for our “bespoke” tailoring courses to ensure that our students have the proper sewing skills to fully complete more advanced courses. *Therefore, the foundation module cannot be removed from our courses.

This course provides students with understanding trousers and waistcoat patterns, taking measurements properly, fittings and remarking, making, and finishings including buttonhole creations and press garments.

*AASE has a partnership with Savile Row Academy UK for the foundation module.

  • Italian Bespoke Tailoring Jacket Making

Foundation Module: 3times (1class=3hrs) + Course: 25 weeks (3times a week)

This module is being delivered three days a week over 25 weeks. Before the course starts, there is a foundation module for 3times (1time=3hrs), which is included in the course fee. Students will learn basting, basic hand sewing, how to use sewing machines, how to make jacket pockets, buttonholes, and so on. The foundation module is mandatory for our “bespoke” tailoring courses to ensure that our students have the proper sewing skills to fully complete more advanced courses. *Therefore, the foundation module cannot be removed from our courses.

This course provides students with understanding jacket patterns, taking measurements properly, fittings and remarking, making, and finishings including buttonhole creations and press garments.

Making a jacket is more advanced than making trousers and a waistcoat, and it requires more delicate work and a lot of sewing techniques. Thus, we recommend taking this course for those who have sewing experiences or who have taken Italian Bespoke Tailoring Trousers and Waistcoat Course at AASE.
